GENERAL QUESTIONS
1. Booking Procedure: Is the Registration/Booking amount refundable?
The booking amount of INR 10000/- paid at the time of booking, is non-refundable in case of cancellations occurred for whatsoever reasons.
2. Is there any refund against cancellation?
Cancellation of tour will attract certain cancellation charges depending on your travel date. The travel consultant will give you the details about such cancellation at the time of booking or for more information on cancellation charges.
3. Do we have to walk a lot on tours?
Usually, travellers would end up walking at sightseeing places, amusement parks and at the airports sometimes for a long distance.
4. Are meals included on tour?
All our personalised packages are Breakfast inclusive. However, lunches and dinners are to be consumed directly by the customer as vegetarian and vegan cuisine is available all over the world and this gives you a chance to enjoy different local cuisines at your own pace and saves a lot of time.
5. Do I need Overseas Travel insurance?
It is advisable to acquire adequate Overseas Travel Insurance cover for protection from any possible risks such as damage, loss, accident or injury to life etc on tour. And now covid-insurance is a must to travel.
FLIGHTS
1. Can I change the name on my ticket?
All reservations must be made in the EXACT name as per the passport of the person traveling – no nicknames.
2. How do I cancel flight reservation?
Most airline tickets issued are non-refundable, and non-transferable. Name changes are not permitted. However, you may be able to exchange your tickets for different dates. Penalty fees apply and not all tickets are changeable.
3. What are the types of trips?
- Roundtrip means you will fly from one location to another, and then back to the first location.
- One way means you will fly from one location to another, and will not return to the first location.
- Multiple destinations mean you will visit several locations and therefore need to choose flights between each of those locations.
4. How do I request special meals & seat selections?
Meal requests can be put while booking the flight as that becomes easier as it gets confirmed with the airline directly. However, the request can also be put later but atleast 3 days prior to your travel date to avoid any inconvenience.
Seat selections depend on the airlines policies as some are chargeable and some offer free seats. It’s guaranteed that extra legroom seats, front seats, etc are always chargeable and you can select the exact seat you want.
5. Is there a limit of how many passengers can be booked in one reservation?
You can book up to 9 passengers in one reservation. If you have more than 9 travellers, the airlines consider this a group booking and special arrangements must be made.
HOTELS
1. What should I do if the hotel cannot find my reservation?
Make sure you have the booking confirmation number or the hotel voucher for pre-paid hotel reservations. If a hotel overbooks, as they do on occasion, and you have a guaranteed reservation, the hotel is obligated to find you a comparable hotel.
2. I want to make changes to my reservation. Will I be charged a fee?
Changes to dates, reduction in rooms, guests name or any other amendments are subject to fees based on the hotel’s policy. Not all hotels allow change.
3. Will I need to pay a deposit at my hotel?
Some hotels do ask for a refundable breakage deposit when you check in. It’s up to the hotelier to decide whether to charge a deposit and how much this is, so it’s not something that we control.
4. I want a specific room or location? Can I select my choice of bedding?
Specific room numbers cannot be reserved. The location of the room is only available if offered during the booking process. Such as selecting an oceanfront room must be offered to reserve that location during the booking process.
Selection of bedding type is also only available at time of booking. All other requests are only a request and cannot be guaranteed. All special requests are at the discretion of the hotel management.
5. Will Early check-in / late check-out be chargeable?
All additional requests on complimentary basis shall solely depend on the Hotel’s management policies. Usually, any additional requests are subject to chargeable basis. If the early check-in is for morning then usually the previous entire night amount is charged.
6. Will I be charged for Hotel room cancellations?
Every hotel has its own cancellation policies. It totally depends on when are you cancelling your travel plans based on your travel dates. If the travel date is near there are less chances of getting a refund. However, if there is time to your travel date commencement then hotels might have its own cancellation % of the booking amount based on the no. of days left.
VISA
1. What is VISA and how should I obtain the VISA?
VISA is the short form for Visitors Intending to Stay Abroad. It is a permission granted by the high commission or consulate of the country you wish to visit. For certain countries, you have to go for personal interview too. Inked Footprints will assist you in filing the VISA application. The VISA fees are additional.
2. What is the possibility of getting a VISA?
Granting or Non-Granting of a VISA solely depends on the respective Consulate/ Embassy. We just assist you in filing the application for the VISA. We neither assure nor guarantee the VISA to anyone since the same is beyond our control.
3. If due to VISA rejection I need to cancel my travel plan then do I get a refund?
Yes, you can get a refund after deducting the VISA application fees and cancellation charges, if any.
4. With my maiden name reflecting on the passport, can I book the tour with my married name?
It is important that the tour booking should be done as per your name on the passport as all further travel arrangements are booked accordingly and passport is the only valid document abroad for verification.
