The Golden Roof (Goldenes Dachl) is Innsbruck's most famous landmark structure and symbol in the Old Town. The Golden Roof was decorated with gilded copper tiles marking the wedding of Emperor Maximilan I to Bianca Maria Sforza and this admiring balcony was used to watch any festivities or events conducted in the square below.

The lower castle includes a fine collection of arms and armour along with a valuable art collection and sculptures.
The upper castle is the home to one of the few private bathrooms of Ferdinand’s wife featuring a deep copper tub dating back to the 16th century.
Nordkette is a part of Austria’s largest nature park. You can take a modern cable car from the city's old town designed by Zaha Hadid and reach 2300m within 20 minutes wherein you can get spectacular views of the Inn Valley and surrounding mountains.
There’s a funicular railway to the Hungerburg suburb with various stops in the middle and a stroll from there takes visitors to the Nordkette Cable Car station.
There are restaurants and viewing platforms at each stop for an explicit experience. The best way to explore these is by buying Skip the Line cable car return ticket which includes a ticket for both funicular and cable car.
At Nordkette cable car, you can “hire” a ready-made backpack filled with a delicious picnic and take it to one of the many parks and gardens of Innsbruck.
