Best Time To Visit
Montenegro climate has two distinct patterns with summers being warm, pleasant, and breezy whereas winters being cold in mountains and mild cold at the coasts.
The best time to visit is between July and August with pleasant temperatures and it’s a peak tourist season as the beaches are warm to enjoy the tan and the ambience.
May to June & September to October – One of the best times to visit here is during these months as the weather is still warm and flocked with fewer tourists so one can enjoy staying at good accommodations with moderate pricing and enjoying good water sports.
Winter – Temperature drops because of heavy snowfall making it exciting for winter sports. It’s a perfect time to visit for winter lovers as you would get great places to stay for enjoying winter activities like skiing, snowboarding, etc… at a lower cost as compared to the famous winter destinations of Europe.
Cities
Stretching along the Montenegrin coastline, Budva Riveria is a summer beach destination for tourists as well as locals. The beaches here are extremely beautiful with mountains as a backdrop, turquoise clean waters of the Adriatic Sea, sandy and pebbly.
Budva is a place with intense nightlife and the city is awake till dawn.
Old Town of Budva is architecturally unique with urban centers in the Adriatic which is unique on its own and grew into a peninsula as the island connected with the land by sand.
The walls of the old town are a major attraction of Budva as they date from the time when Venetians ruled along with narrow streets, squares, and alleyways which are a treat to the eyes.
This dramatic town of Kotor lies among the medieval churches, palaces, cathedrals. When you view Kotor, one would observe that it’s very distinctively contrasting – Old historic towns with modern cafes, live music, and cobble-stoned streets and alleyways, and red roof houses.
Kotor’s fortifications are extravagant and amazing to gaze at and if you wish to enjoy the views of the town and bay from the top one can climb up the 1350 steps to the St. John’s fortress.
One can take up a cheese tasting tour as well since Montenegro is famous for different types of cheeses.

One can even swim and snorkel here but it's one of the prettiest sights to watch and it's usually compared to the Blue Grotto which is in Croatia.
